Nutty and well-balanced, with layers of crème brûlée and melting candy, mixed with hints of mocha and amaretti biscuit.

FInish

Soft and warm, with notes of shortbread, cinnamon icing and crunchy caramel that linger on the palate.

Master distiller Robert Fleming's favourite single malt, Tomintoul 16 Year Old, is aged in American bourbon oak casks. It is a perfectly balanced whisky: smooth and creamy, yet fruity and spicy, with a long finish. The classic Tomintoul expression.

The Tomintoul distillery

The Tomintoul distillery was built in 1965 and acquired by Angus Dundee in 2000. Located in the Speyside region, Tomintoul is the fruit of the pure water of the Ballantruan spring and the fresh air of the Cairngorms National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The distillery is named after the village of Tomintoul, the highest village in the Scottish Highlands.
