Mizuho is a range of two traditional awamoris produced by Mizuho Distillery on Okinawa Island.
Mild Mizuho 5 years old is an aged Awamori ("Kusu") in ceramic jar, produced by Mizuho Distillery on Okinawa Island in the Ryukyu Archipelago. Awamori is the oldest Japanese spirit. It is made from a unique distillation process using Thai rice and requires the use of a special strain of mold needed during fermentation, the Koji. Kusu" Awamori must be aged for a minimum of 3 years and is more similar to old Whiskies or Brandies!
