The Scotch Malt and Japanese Malt are blended and aged for at least 3 years in oak casks and finished in a Japanese "Mizunara" oak cask with an additional 6 months of aging. This whisky has a unique aroma and a relatively mild taste. It is characterised by sweet, fruity notes and a deep flavour that blends woody and dried fruit aromas.
Kishu Kumano
The Kishu Kumano distillery was established in May 2019. Gin and whisky are produced here using the unique aroma and fragrance of the fruits and agricultural products of Kumano, Kishu. The distillery does not strive for quantity, but for excellence. Its aim is to produce a barley malt whisky that is less abundant but more refined. The brewing is carefully crafted through maturation management, yeast selection and a series of artisanal processes in wooden casks. Taking advantage of the unique delicacy of small distilleries and craft breweries, the products have been exported to Europe, America, the Middle East and other parts of the world. Over the next 50 years, the distillery will focus on looking at the world in a global way.
