Learn more
This Venezuelan rum is a molasses rum aged only in Venezuela in American oak barrels. The sugar canes used are Romana and Cubana. There is only one harvest per year between December and May, continuously night and day. The sugar cane has more concentration when it is collected in the morning. It takes 2.24Kg of molasses to obtain 1 liter of this delicious nectar. Fermentation lasts between 12 and 16 hours and distillation is done using four columns. Then, the rum is put in barrels at about 65% vol. Once in barrels, the rum is aged in Venezuela where the climate is tropical, which produces an exotic aroma and a beautiful roundness.
The Bocatheva collection is an independent bottling of exceptional Caribbean rums created by BBC Spirits.
