Bayab gins are distilled from locally grown sugar cane. The maceration is made from African botanicals:juniper berries, coriander, rosemary, cinnamon, lemon peel, baobab and orange. It is then mixed with the purest water from the KwaZulu Natal Midlands. Distilled in a copper Still Pot, in small quantities.
Midlands Distillery
The Bayab Distillery is located in the midlands, a beautiful region of kwazulu-natal that extends from the mooi river to the drakenburg mountains. The distillery combines the natural beauty of the continent and the people to create this rare african gin. The baobab fruit at the heart of our gins comes from zambia and madagascar which gives unique citrus flavour. The rest of our Ingredients are sourced and grown in our home, the lush lands of the kwazulu-natal midlands, which also contributes the purest of waters to blend our gins.
