Tasting advice

Perfect in a cocktail.

Tasting notes

Appearance

Transparent.

Nose

Fresh and expressive. Notes of peach, sansho pepper, yuzu and tea.

Palate

The sweetness of peaches mingles with the tangy notes of sansho pepper and yuzu, underpinned by the astringency of tea.

Finish

Refreshing and lively.

It combines a base of more than 10 Western botanicals with a distinctly Japanese essence: fresh peaches from the Yamanashi region, Japanese sansho pepper, with its uniquely tangy flavour, yuzu, with its widespread aroma evocative of Japan, and tea, with its attractive astringent and herbaceous aroma... Together, these flavours create a botanical gin with a unique, authentic taste. Crystalline spring water, refined through the four generous seasons, binds these ingredients together in a perfect combination.

A gin named after the lark, a bird prized for its song that is said to represent "pure love". Once you taste it, the serene harmony of Japan will resonate in your heart.

Tenjaku distillery

Created in Fuefuki, in Yamanashi prefecture, Tenjaku was born in the heart of fertile land surrounded by imposing peaks, with the Chichiby mountains rising to the north and the Misaka range to the south. Just 250 metres below the town lies the excellent natural water from the Misaka range. Filtered through the porous volcanic rock, it is perfect for dilution when creating whiskies. Kenju Watanabe has been a renowned name in the world of Japanese whisky and winemaking since the 1990s and throughout the 2000s. Taking full advantage of his past experience in creating whiskies and many award-winning wines, he is currently the master blender for Tenjaku.
