Morris Port Barrel was aged in a combination of French and American oak casks using Australian red wine, mainly premium Shiraz, from family-owned wineries in the Barossa wine region. The whisky was then matured in casks containing our award-winning Morris de Rutherglen Tawny Port to 10 years of age.

Morris Distillery

Founded in 1859, the Morris family winery produces some of the world's most renowned varietal wines. Now they are starting a new chapter with MORRIS whisky. The distillery is located in Rutherglen, Victoria, at the end of a long driveway lined with vineyards. Rutherglen is named after a town just outside Glasgow, Scotland, the home of whisky. The climate of the area lends itself to whisky production due to the warm summer days and cool nights. These conditions are perfect for ageing and help to create the unique and distinctive taste of MORRIS whisky. MORRIS whisky is made to reflect a sense of place and region.
