Lokita is made with carefully selected ripe agaves from a perfect diversity of terroirs, balancing the mineral profile of the southern clay soils with the delicate fruit and floral notes of the Jalisco highlands. The agaves are selected by our master distiller Armando Orozco, according to sugar content and desired profile. They can be up to seven years old and are mainly harvested during the dry season (January to April) to allow the flavors of the agave to develop at their highest potential. Our agaves are slow-cooked in wood-fired ovens to enhance the intense expression of their notes. Lokita is double distilled in copper stills and distillation columns to provide the perfect sweetness to your palate. Lokita is a premium 100% agave tequila which means that all the sugar must come from the juices of Agave Tequilana Weber, blue variety.
