BBC Spirits history
BBC Spirits is above all a story of passion, sharing and travel.
In 2010, after 25 years of expertise in the international wine and spirits markets, Bogdan Tanasoiu founded the company BBC Spirits (Bogdan's Beverage Company) in Bordeaux.
It was through traveling the world and numerous encounters that Bogdan discovered true hidden treasures, often little-known or lacking recognition. These enriching experiences and travels gave birth to the prestigious product portfolio of BBC Spirits.
The BBC Spirits portfolio now reflects these travels, adventurous spirit and our passion for spirits.
A creator of innovative brands
BBC Spirits is not just a distributor, it is also a creator of brands and trends.
Ever since it was founded, we have been drawing on attentive studies of market trends to develop new, original products tailored to different markets. Japanese gin, Caribbean rum, American whiskey or even Mexican tequila – BBC Spirits’s creativity knows no bounds!
Etsu, a "success story"!
Created in 2018, our Japanese Etsu craft gin is still causing a stir. With growth of 25% in 2020, more than 100,000 bottles sold in 2019, and distribution in more than 50 markets, Etsu is a real success. The range has expanded with the arrival of three versions offering strong flavours: Double Yuzu, Double Orange and Pacific Ocean Water.

A portfolio of original, premium brands
As both a distributor and creator of brands, our portfolio now contains 150 products from all over the world, covering every category of spirits.
BBC Spirits offers a broad, comprehensive range of Japanese spirits, in particular including whiskies from the Kurayoshi distillery, Etsu gin and Eiko vodka from the island of Hokkaido, and little-known rums from the tropical island of Okinawa. BBC Spirits quickly became the European market leader for Japanese spirits.
However, BBC Spirits has not limited itself to offering Asian products. Our expertise in our various markets means that companies with internationally recognised brands rely on us to distribute their products.
A French and an International distribution
BBC Spirits has an international presence, particularly in Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States.
On the domestic french market, BBC Spirits handles distribution of its portfolio directly in order to keep on developing its brands. We can be found in every distribution channel: independent merchants and merchant chains, wholesalers, cafés, hotels, restaurants, and of course supermarkets.
