A subtle sweetness and a mild aroma characteristic of white rice. A deliciously refreshing aftertaste. Meet Tenjaku vodka. With a base distilled from polished Yamada Nishiki rice, renowned for its use in high-quality spirits, and natural spring water from the foothills of Mount Fuji, this is a unique vodka that truly embodies the essence of Japan. In addition to the commonly used birch charcoal, Tenjaku vodka's filtration process also incorporates bamboo charcoal, an excellent adsorbent of impurities and contaminants, as well as being a mineraliser. The result is a clear, smooth vodka, as limpid and fresh as the melting water of pristine snow.
Tenjaku distillery
Created in Fuefuki, in Yamanashi prefecture, Tenjaku was born in the heart of fertile land surrounded by imposing peaks, with the Chichiby mountains rising to the north and the Misaka range to the south. Just 250 metres below the town lies the excellent natural water from the Misaka range. Filtered through the porous volcanic rock, it is perfect for dilution when creating whiskies. Kenju Watanabe has been a renowned name in the world of Japanese whisky and winemaking since the 1990s and throughout the 2000s. Taking full advantage of his past experience in creating whiskies and many award-winning wines, he is currently the master blender for Tenjaku.
